Emeritus Membership Eligibility: Open to individuals retired from full-time employment who have been Regular Members of SPR for five or more years and who submit a written request for Emeritus status to the Executive Director.
Membership Career Level Guidelines
Student
Bachelor’s, Master’s, PhD, and Post-Doctoral Fellow
First Year Professional
Individuals beginning their professional career in prevention science.
Early Career
Assistant Professor, Assistant Research Scientist, or equivalent; 1–10 years post-degree.
Mid Career
Associate Professor, Associate Research Scientist, or equivalent; 10–20 years post-degree.
Senior Career
Professor, Research Scientist, or equivalent; 20+ years post-degree.
Other
Including career transitions or nontraditional professional pathways.
