About the 2025 Funding Opportunity
The SPR Board of Directors allocated $3,000 to support early-career prevention researchers attending the 16th EUSPR Conference.
The purpose of the travel funding was to enable ECPN participants to attend the EUSPR conference and network on behalf of SPR, especially with other early-career prevention researchers.
Funding supported two early-career prevention researchers attending the conference in person. Applicants were selected based on how well their participation advanced the program’s goals and made effective use of the available funds.
2025 Eligibility Requirements
Applicants were required to meet all of the following requirements:
- SPR membership: Applicant was required to be a current SPR member for January 1 through December 31, 2025.
- Career stage: Applicant was required to be an early-career professional, such as an Assistant Professor, Assistant Research Scientist, or equivalent, who was 1 to 10 years post-degree, or a student at the bachelor’s, master’s, doctoral, or postdoctoral level.
- Presenter status: Applicant was required to be a confirmed presenter at the EUSPR conference.
- Residency: U.S. and international residents were eligible to apply.
2025 Funding and Reimbursement
Funds were disbursed to in-person award recipients after submission of:
- A travel reimbursement request form
- Supporting receipts
- A brief report of 300 to 500 words describing the recipient’s conference experience
Eligible expenses included airfare, lodging, ground transportation, and conference registration.
