Please note that all quoted rates are in US Dollars. All registration payments must be made in US Dollars via MasterCard, VISA, or check. Cancellations must be received in writing by May 4, 2018 and are subject to a $50 administrative fee. After May 4, 2018 registration fees are non-refundable. Refunds will be processed after the annual meeting. No refunds will be made for no-shows. A returned check fee of $30 will be assessed for all returned check.
Conference Registration rates include:
- Entry to all scientific sessions: plenaries, invited symposia, organized paper symposia, organized poster forums, roundtable discussions, “20 x 20” presentation, grouped paper sessions, TED-Like Talks, “Brown Bag” Special Interest Group meetings, SPR Cup presentations and exhibits.
- Morning and afternoon coffee breaks, Tuesday evening Opening Reception, Wednesday and Thursday evening Poster Sessions and Receptions, Diversity Network Reception, and the Awards Presentation Reception.
- Conference Mobile APP. As of 2017, the program will no longer be available in print format. The program schedule will be available on the Conference Mobile APP, as a web-based format with search features, and as a PDF on the SPR website at preventionresearch.org. We bring this to your attention so that you can plan accordingly prior to arriving at the conference.
Pre-Conference Workshop Registration:
- Attendee registration for the May 29, 2018 Pre-Conference Workshops is a separate registration fee.
- The pre-conference workshop registration includes electronic workshop handouts and morning and afternoon coffee breaks.
Please note all presenters are required to register for the conference. To be eligible for member registration rates, 2018 membership dues must be current at the time you register. You may join/renew your membership AND register for the conference at the same time.
2018 Conference REMINDERS:
- The program will no longer be available in print format. The program schedule will be available on the Conference Mobile APP. It will also be available as a web-based format with search features, and as a PDF on the SPR website at preventionresearch.org. We bring this to your attention so that you can plan accordingly prior to arriving at the conference.
- Please note that the conference registration rates only partially cover the costs of operating the conference. For the past 17 years we have been very fortunate to receive a NIH R13 conference grant which has provided significant financial support for the conference. Comments in the new R13 proposal Summary Statement suggested that SPR “develop a plan for self-sustaining their operations” so that the “conferences might be able to stand on their own.” In order to offer a self-sustaining conference in the future, our options are to quadruple the conference registration rates, or reduce conference costs. To that end, in 2017 the SPR Board accepted a recommendation from the Finance Committee to eliminate food for the continental breakfasts and for the afternoon conference breaks. Food will continue to be served at all conference receptions. In addition, beverages will continue to be served at all morning and afternoon breaks. We bring this to your attention so that you can make meal plans accordingly.
